Medical Credentialing Advice: Does further education guarantee a higher salary?

Question: I have an LPC/LMHC/LICSW.  Will getting a Ph.D increase my reimbursement rates from insurance companies?

Answer:  Sometimes.  To be reimbursed at a higher level, most insurance companies require that you not only have a Ph.D, but a Ph.D-level license  (that is, be a licensed psychologist). However, we have found that you can be credentialed with at least a few companies who will reimburse you at a higher rate with the license you already hold.

Let’s get down to business: if you’ve found yourself asking a whirlwind of questions about getting credentialed with insurance companies, know that you have another option. The first option of course is to work it out and do it yourself. The second option, however, (and the less taxing option) is to hire someone to do it for you. You can hire a medical credentialing team like ours to get you on the insurance panels you’re after. This will save you a significant amount of time and energy, so that you can focus on your practice and your customers. Did this spark your interest? Give us a call at 1-855-664-5154.
